"Salka is a fantastic restaurant. Warm and friendly service compliment some of the most interesting and well thought out food I have had. We went both nights we were in Husavik we were so impressed. To start with the smoked puffin breast with apple puree, chicken liver and fried crusts worked really well together. We both had the lamb on the first night which was exceptional. Generous portion, perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The second night I had the arctic charr that was absolutely heavenly... A huge amount of effort had gone in to it's production and presentation and it paid off.
The apple pie was on of the best puddings I have ever had.
I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone, as I would Husavik, a lovely sleepy town with superb whale watching, excellent food, friendly inhabitants and an intriguing local museum".
